August 13 Update

Hi out there to all my fans. Hopefully things are going well for everyone. Book sales have been pretty good so far and Kindle is just burning it up. I'm really excited at how well this new story line is doing. It helps to confirm my thought that the Von Dred/Jacob story had nearly played itself out. I might have broken the story up more into different books or did as I did with Jacob and follow some of the other characters on their journey. But enough about the past stories.

Okay, so I've had several requests to explain Thavs and what it means. I'll give everyone who hasn't bought the book or the Kindle edition yet a hint. The word chav is an English term for a certain type of young man (mostly) in the UK. That's the hint for today.

I am working simultaneously on the other two books that go along with Blood Underground: Book One. Book Two is the farthest along at the moment, but there has been considerable work on Book Three as well. Thanks again for all your comments, reviews, questions, etc.

Keep on reading.

6 August Update

Good morning all!
It was a glorious, if not somewhat boring, weekend in Fargo, ND, USA. The weather was beautiful and I got quite a bit accomplished on the next two stories, adding in some great background pieces and introducing several new characters.
Just mailed off a signed copy of my latest - Blood Underground: Book One - Thavs - to my best mate in London. One of the characters in the story is based on him and I've been teasing him that he will not figure out which one it is.
Some people have asked me exactly what does Thavs mean. It is explained in the very first chapter of the book before you're transported back to 1820 to see where everything began. I will explain it here if some people are missing the whole idea of the slang term, but we'll see.
Okay, time for work and the rest of what makes me get up in the morning.
Cheers and keep reading.

Blog, Day 2

Good morning my friends and mates around the world!
As you all know, I'm a writer in my spare time. I live in Fargo, N.D. but have lived all over the place in my day. I write for fun, not for profit. I set the prices on my books through Amazon at the bare minimum allowable for their size. My stories are complex tales that delve deeply into the characters, not just what's on the surface, but what's underneath that makes them the way that they are. Most of my work has been in the vampire genre because growing up I loved the old vamp movies on early Saturday mornings and have been a fan of horror and sci-fi ever since. I try to bring something new to the story, as well, changing some of the folklore associated with the vampire tales.
In the coming weeks, months, and hopefully years, I'll be updating this blog with the latest on what I'm writing and when new books are released.
I've just finished and published Blood Underground: Book One - Thavs. I am currently working on the two follow-up books.
Additionally, when I get blocked on the Blood Underground stories, I have about six other books that I am working on bit-by-bit.
Thanks for reading!
